700 MEALS DONATED TO FOSTER YOUTH BY END OF MAY

For Immediate Release:

SEXY BOSS BABE TO PROVIDE 700 MEALS TO FOSTER YOUTH

First Female Social Entrepreneur Determined To Change The Fate Of Foster Youth Through The Beauty Industry.

Beverly Hills, CA: May 11, 2020 — May is Foster Care Awareness Month and Sexy Boss Babe just launched a grassroots community campaign to feed former foster youth attending college. The 1 Box = 1 Meal campaign provides a meal to a transition aged foster youth when a box of Sexy Boss Babe Quick Nails are purchased online.

Less than 3% of foster youth ever make it to college and those that do are often homeless and face hunger. The goal of the campaign is to provide 700 meals to former foster youth in college by the end of May. The documentary film, Breaking the Cycle produced and directed by Arzo Yusuf details further challenges faced by transition aged foster youth.

Sexy Boss Babe founder, Arzo Yusuf, recently gave a TEDx Talk called End Sex Trafficking By Helping Foster Youth and shared that close to 80% of sex trafficking victims in the U.S. are foster youth. This is due to their extreme vulnerability and lack of support. Los Angeles has the most foster youth than any city in America and is a leader in sex trafficking.

Year round, a portion of proceeds are donated to charities helping foster youth & sex trafficking survivors. Traffickers use nail services as a way to build trust with and lure foster youth into sex trafficking. Sexy Boss Babe also donates their Quick Nail kits to foster youth and survivors so youth don’t get it from traffickers. Sexy Boss Babe has charity partnerships with CASA Los Angeles, Glamour Gowns, Journey Out, Angels Nest TLP and Face Forward International.

The founder wanted to create mainstream awareness of a difficult issue through the beauty industry by connecting with women to create social change. As a survivor of domestic violence, Arzo created Sexy Boss Babe’s brand identity to focus on inner confidence, body positivity and inclusivity to empower women and minorities.
